Recently opened neighborhood bar and grill vibe with an approachable menu filled with over 150 choices, and a select number of from scratch dishes (search for those!)

Best fried chicken, chicken fried steak on this side of your Grandma’s house. Super kid friendly. Be warned, if it’s your birthday…there will be dancing with a chicken hat.
Dishes we love: Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Grandma’s Corn
6475 Page St
I swear I thought this was in Mckinney. City lines are weird. Their Biscuits & Gravy are a happy pick-you-up upscale comfort food and their Key Lime Pie is some of the best I have found outside of the Florida Keys.
Dishes we love: Biscuits & Gravy, Farm Salad, Blackened Salmon, Chorizo Meatloaf, Jalapeno Au Gratin Potatoes, Key Lime Pie
15922 Eldorado Pkwy #700
Black Walnut Cafe
Breakfast is highly recommended. Belly up to the bar and get full service, or waltz right up to the counter and order! So many choices, there’s definitely something for everyone here.
Dishes we love: Asian Chicken Nachos, Breakfast Enchiladas, Bacon and Tomato Grilled Cheese, Gelato
5225 Warren Pkwy
Last week we visited Black Walnut Cafe (@blackwalnutcafe) in Frisco to check out some of their new brunch menu items. A fun highlight was this Bacon 🥓 Cheeseburger 🍔 Benedict topped with a cayenne citrus Hollandaise. There are tons of “off the beaten path” options like this one or more traditional breakfast-y staples. Full blog post coming soon. #sponsored #eatinfrisco
Cheezie’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese
Because I’m so dedicated to scoping out the scene for you guys, I was Cheezies’ second customer. I stick by the fact that their grilled cheese sandwiches (esp the Big Tex and French Hen) are fabulous. Their Cheezie’s original 5 cheese mac and cheese is also great, and kiddos love it.
Dishes we love: Big Tex, French Hen, Mac and Cheese, Fried Pies.
5995 Preston Rd Suite 102
This is an odd thing to love at Cotton Patch, but I am a big fan of their queso. Most people go for the southern cookin’.
Dishes we love: Fried Green Tomatoes, Homemade Queso & Salsa, Potato Cheese Soup, Chicken & Dumplins.

The Heritage Table brings scratch cooking to a beautiful home on Main Street in Frisco. Featuring homemade bread, house-cured and smoked meats, plus more, The Heritage Table serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner in one of the prettiest restaurants in town. We hope to visit soon and try the food.

Exclusive to our Frisco location, we are trying out a new dish but we need your help! This Thanksgiving inspired treat consists of savory cornbread dressing waffles topped with mashed potatoes, juicy turkey, giblet gravy and a homemade cranberry sauce with a cinnamon jalapeño kick!! Definitely worth checking out! Comment what you think this limited edition creation should be named and if your idea is chosen, free “whatever it is” on us!! Good luck!
Trufire Kitchen and Bar
Sit on the patio, try the best crab dip ever, and then have the tru-mac. Plenty of leftovers to take home, too! But really, everything here is amazing. One of my top 5 Frisco restaurants. So many great things, to eat and to drink, at Trufire.
Dishes we love: TruMac, Crab Dip, Lil’ Goat, Fire Grilled Artichoke, Texas Pecan and Fig Salad, Latin Fire Pizza, Blue Lemon Cake, Texas Pear Cocktail.

Coming Soon – Tupelo Honey Cafe
Tupelo Honey is one of our favorite southern restaurants we enjoy visiting when in NC and TN. We’re very exciting about the impending opening at the Star.

Premium, fresh, never-frozen, cage-free baked wings. And house made sauces. We can’t wait to try them out.
